War Ship
03:24
|
|||
We sail this ship of leisure, we lost an innocence
Complacency deceives her, on a sea with no defense
Our glass is full of pleasure, we whitewash over tombs
Our debts are due for seizure, storms they rage, clouds they loom
The martyr's voice reminding, a compass always North
The war is unrelenting; the timeless truth... is moving forth
Hear the groan of aging timber, hear the pitch of rivet nails
Hear the cry of battle songs fill up these tattered sails
For God and good republic we'll empty every hell
Faith is a timeless ember, blazing on with truth to tell
Someday we'll beat these swords into child's play; someday we'll meet reward in eternity.

Just A Thought
03:23
|
|||
Either way the world keeps turning, even when I fear we've lost our mind, Oh why...
Onward and downward, into the darkest day
We've been here before, ignored the warning signs; a revolving door as old as time
Don't get worked up, I'm not trying to change your mind
But if you'd think a second time, just a thought of mine
Either way it's disconcerting, feeling like we're almost out of time
Where is the heartbeat? I can't find a heart beat
Flatlined, subtle decline… waving at the blind
We've been here before, ignored the warning signs; a revolving door as old as time
Don't get worked up, I'm not trying to change your mind
But if you'd think a second time, just a thought of mine
Everyday we give it all away…
easy come, and so it's easy go -it happens really slow
Apathy is the fire that burns it all down.
Either way it's disconcerting…feels like we're almost out of time…

Lean Kneel Fall
04:30
|
|||
So proud… Ive been holding my own down here with timeless eden lies...
and I’m curious at best, when I start leaning on the thought of you and what you can do you for me
And oh, after all is said and all is done, everyone will hear that call; and when all that's left are those around your bed, we’re gonna lean, we’re gonna kneel, were gonna fall
Then that phone call comes... and it bends you knee to chest and all the rest just fades away; when You finally break my grip to the things that pass away and then I call on your name...
And oh, after all is said and all is done, everyone will hear that call; when all that's left are those around your bed, we’re gonna lean, we’re gonna kneel, were gonna fall
Then completeness comes, and the grave looks like a gift and we lay down our arms... When you say your will is done with this good and faithful son, I’m going to run into those arms
And oh, after all is said and all is done, everyone will hear His call. And oh, leave nothin left unsaid, you’re gonna lean, you’re gonna kneel, you’re gonna fall.

Slow Fade
04:54
|
|||
We are wandering aimless on a road so unfit; we are all holding lanterns but we leave them unlit
Over breadcrumbs we haggle with a desperate man's clutch; It's the snare of a treasure we fear losing too much.
It's a slope so subtle; it's the fateful wade to a dying conscience, to the slowest fade; an untethered wander… solemn serenade, till we just surrender to the slowest fade.
It's so fickled and fleeting… all this worship of youth; we despise all instruction, we outlaw the truth.
It's the death of our choosing with a thousand stone blades; watch the light on a high hill just flicker and fade.
It's a slope so subtle; it's the fateful wade to a dying conscience, to the slowest fade; an untethered wander… solemn serenade, till we just surrender to the slowest fade.
When we are lost and we cannot find our way, moving onward anyway isn't progress but in name; To turn around and just find where we went wrong is the fastest way back home, or so aimlessly we'll roam toward the slowest fade.

Broken
04:51
|
|||
Slow go up this convert hill, a foolish boy and he loves me still; I move out of the way, he choreographs my life; the gaudy way I dress my full-figured pride, the wretched man I try so hard to hide; the cross I bore yesterday, gotta pick it back up today...
They crave affection, but we only give advice, we're selling bumper-sticker truth in place of Christ, we're lovers, we're not saviors, prophets, not PR;
Come all who are broken, abused, and bruised, all who are run down, confused, and used; only really sinners need a savior, i attest; come drunk and come harlot, come children of shame, death yields new life and this loss is gain; we all seek a pardon when we call on that name...
sing hallelujah, amen
Hungry for the living bread, thirsty for the fountain head, live on every word you said, hallelujah, amen

North
03:03
|
|||
Sometime the loudest sound is a whisper; sometimes the simple is profound; sometimes the moment needs a listener; sometimes the thorns become a crown; Oh, don’t grow weary at the cost, humbled by the cross.
Amidst the hurried haste I hear her; cuts through the clamor and the crowd; she's standing in the streets, she's wisdom; she calls out truth, she cries aloud and Oh... don't grow weary at the cost, humbled by the cross.
